Melodie Anderson
Melodie is a Registered Nurse and community engagement leader with expertise in the social determinants of health and health‑equity strategy. Her work focuses on integrating SDOH frameworks into program planning, data analysis, and system design to address inequities at their source. Melodie has been recognized for her compassion, strategic thinking, commitment to culturally safe practice, and her ability to build trusted relationships across diverse communities and stakeholder groups.
Her mother was 60 years old, and still working, when she was first screened for vascular dementia, following small yet noticeable changes with her memory, ability to manage her personal finances and other ADLs. Since then, Melodie has become an advocate and supporter of seniors living with dementia so they can age with respect and dignity.
Melodie currently resides in Brampton Ontario with her family, close to the Long Term Care home where her mother now lives.
